Who maintains the site
Built from veterinary imaging experience.
Chris Weaver is a Certified Veterinary Technician with 20 years in veterinary medicine and 18 years working with multiple CT technologies. His role combines clinical workflow, equipment planning, training, implementation, service coordination, and long-term program development.
The goal is straightforward: help a practice understand what it actually needs before it chooses a model number.
How recommendations are built
The practice comes before the scanner.
A recommendation is based on the combined requirements of the hospital—not a single feature or slice count.
Clinical fit
Anatomy, case mix, patient size, advanced applications, and the imaging questions the hospital wants to answer.
Workflow
Expected volume, anesthesia, scan speed, positioning, staffing, interpretation, and the way cases move through the hospital.
Facility
Room dimensions, access path, power, shielding, HVAC, structural needs, and practical installation risk.
Ownership
Training, staff adoption, service coverage, parts, uptime planning, software, and long-term support.
Economics
Budget, financing, scan revenue, procedure income, utilization, and the total cost of sustaining the program.

What “objective” means here
Clinically relevant options are compared even when Patterson does not sell them. A higher score means a stronger fit for selected requirements—not universal superiority. The same scanner can be an excellent dental choice and the wrong advanced-cardiac choice.
How facts and opinion are separated
Specifications come from current manufacturer, provider, pre-installation, and site-planning documents. Practice-fit ratings reflect Chris’s stated weighting. Every shortlist still requires a current quote, approved site drawing, service terms, and configuration review.

This site does not diagnose patients or replace a veterinarian, radiologist, physicist, project team, local code review, or written service and financing terms. Room and ROI values are planning estimates, not guarantees.
